For our first talk of the year we are privileged to have a presentation from Zam Baring, Managing Partner of Grange Estate, Hampshire, vine grower and producer of sparkling wines.  He will be joined by Samuel Philippot, Vineyard Manager at The Grange.

Zam will give a brief history of the estate along with the rationale behind the 2011 planting of this 25 acre vineyard, and the ups and down since.  He will discuss the varieties and clones planted, the joys and the many, many challenges of growing grapes in a cool climate.  We hope to have samples available to highlight differences in tastes between the different vine cultivars.
