Zoom talk: Richard Newton on Quinces

November 4 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

A Zoom talk on Quinces, how to grow, harvest and enjoy

We are delighted that Richard Newton and his team, from Norton Priory Museum & Gardens in Cheshire, will host an introductory talk followed by a Q&A panel session on zoom about quinces – cultivar selection, growing, caring, harvesting and ways to eat quince.

Norton Priory is the holder of the Plant Heritage National Plant Collection of tree quince and grows over 25 cultivars. Richard recently wrote a short quince article in the RHS The Garden publication. Richard is Head Gardener and he will co-host with Paul Quigley, Head Ranger, and Tracey Crutchley, quince food expert. Paul has worked at Norton Priory for 30 years and helps to manage the quince collection and their orchards. Tracey, now retired from Norton Priory, is a volunteer making many delicious products out of quince and other produce grown at Norton Priory.

Information and the link to join will be sent in a member’s newsletter before the event. IT support will be available the week before the event.
